Mist = DRENCHED

Vernal Fall (Mist Trail)
Vernal Fall here we come...

Vernal Fall (Mist Trail)
Half Dome cables still not up (due to the snow this year)

The mist was freezing cold!

Over 700 stairs at the end of the trail...which are wet and slippery!

Taking time to dry out and warm up on top of the falls, before heading back down.

Vernal Fall (Mist Trail)

Yesterday we went hiking in Yosemite. We picked Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Fall. The trail runs along the river, which is flowing at it's peak right now. I have never been on Mist Trail, but Anthony (son) went last year (later in the season) and said it's a little misty at the bottom of the falls. Let me just say, misty is a understatement! DRENCHING would describe it much better. We all looked like we went swimming with our clothes on. Luckily the weather was warm (low 80's)
It was a good hike, I'm ready to do it again.
