I even opted-out of lugging our "big" tree down from the attic. I went and got a little white table top tree this year. The photo makes it look pink, but it's white.

Design of the Month

Due to my show schedule the last couple months, I had to put the Design of the Month on hold.

It just seemed silly to me to start offering "winter" beads before Halloween!

But after selling out of all my winter beads at this weekends show and receiving your emails asking for more I got the message...you guys are ready (even if I'm not, lol)

Yesterday I starting replenishing my bead supply for next weekends show.

Smokey

The Rim Fire has now been burning for 4 weeks.

Some days we can see the "smoke cloud" hanging over the ridge, some days the wind changes direction and blows the smoke right over us making it hard to breathe.

The fire is 80 percent contained...
It's been a hot dry Summer. I'm ready for Fall...

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend!

We headed over to the coast to celebrate Kurt's birthday.

One day we rented a kayak and cruised the bay (our first time)

I was a little freaked out that we were going to tip over, so I left Molly at home (she was not happy)

Turns out, they don't tip over very easy.

So next time Molly gets to come with us!

Skeleton Key

I've been working this week on electroforming (a process of transferring copper onto an object)

I had some vintage keys and thought they would be fun with glass skulls than electroformed. 

I'm going to add some hand-dyed silk ribbons (in cool colors) to make them into necklaces.

I've been working overtime getting ready for shows. 

Making lots of Halloween/Fall goodies, plus some Christmas things too!

I'm taking a few requests for the Pumpkin Necklaces (sold out) and the Pink or Gray Mice Rings (sold out) but I'll be making more after my shows...

We have been spending our down time at the beach, riding our bikes (Molly loves her basket), going on long walks and catching up on our favorite TV shows.
