Today I have a few new things.

It's out of this world, ha!

Easy as pie...

Because Kurt has been working now for almost three weeks straight, without a day off. And with more than a week to go, I thought he would like me to make his favorite pie. So with a little help from Susan I made him a Banana Cream Pie all for himself...only because I'm not a fan of bananas! ha... putting a smile on his face was easy as pie...

Movin on up

It was a very productive long weekend. We got most of Kurt's shop moved over to the new location, which is much larger so I know Kurt will be happier with all the room to spread his wings.
There is still much work to be done, like moving the booth (next Saturday) but, we got a lot done...

Farmer's Market

Perfect for the gardener!
I've been working on special orders this week, one was a bracelet for someone who sells veggies at the Farmer's Market.
I made extra beads so I could offer one here too...

I found my MOTHER!

COOKIE ALERT!!!
I found out through a close source (my dad) that Kellogg's is now making some of the Mother's cookie recipes, one of them being the Circus Animals! So today while I was grocery shopping I had to buy a bag. The bag even says "Mother's Cookies"
Which started everyone in the check-out line talking, which went something like this..."I thought Mother's went out of business"..."I tried that other brand, but they were gross!"..."I'm going to buy a bag"

I haven't tasted these yet, but from what I understand, it's the same recipe!
So save the Circus Animals and buy a bag of cookies today! :o)

Certificates

I have been getting requests for Gift Certificates lately, so I got some that matched my website!
I like green...ha
They come in $25, $50, $75 or $100
The only problem I see is, they must be used all in one visit.
So I would recommend getting them in the smaller amounts...

I'm running a little late today...
I spent most of the weekend helping Kurt. He's moving his shop to a larger location, I wasn't a lot of help though...
This weekend there was a heatwave (106) Did I mention I don't do well in the heat?
It drains me...But the good news, it's cooling down now (a little) Plus my tomatoes LOVE the warm weather!
I have my first tomatoes growing now! I'm seeing fresh salsa in my near future...

The roses are lovin' the weather too!

It was a knockoff from the NBC Today Show "Where in the World in Matt Lauer"
I made a lampwork "Mattie" dog that traveled around the world.
And people guessed where she was...it was fun!

So, I've decided to bring it back!
This time it's just called...
Where in the World
I thought it would be fun with Summer coming, to head out and see the world!
I'm still working on the prizes (which will be fun)
The game will be played on my website on the Where in the World page.

Congratulations

Where does the time go? This weekend, Maureen (Anthony girlfriend) will be graduating. Anthony would have been joining her, but after his first year he changed his major.

With this being the first full graduating class at the University of California, it will be a day of celebration...
Even the First Lady Michelle Obama will be addressing the graduating class...Congrats Maureen, we are so proud of you!

On the bead front,
I will be adding some new beads on my site today, plus some new Tide Pool Pendants on the Jewelry page.
Today is the day I'll be drawing the winner of the Greenhouse Goodie $50 gift certificate, Good Luck everyone!

In dog years

Meet Chanel, she is 147 years old (in dog years)...Chanel is the World's oldest dog! Last week she turned 21 years old (the same age as my son, Anthony) You're lookin' good Chanel...
We had a cat live to 21 years (Gray Kitty) the poor thing had arthritis so bad, at the end we called her our mechanical kitty. Even her cortisone shots didn't help much...

I now have a new goal in life...helping Molly live to 25 years!
What is the longest your pet has lived? And what was the secret?
I'd love some advice...

A Place to Dream...

Sunday we strolled the gardens. I'm inspired to have a flower bed of my own...

The garden was covered with Fairy Houses too...

It looks like this fairy loves to garden (my kind of fairy)

We spent many many MANY hours walking the shores...see Molly on Kurt's back, her little legs got tired.

Kurt scored this huge Moonstone

And a trip to the coast is never complete until we have our favorite ABC (avocado, bacon, cheese) burger from the Main Street Grill.

A little getaway...

Keeping my family and friends in the Santa Barbara area in my thoughts...
I was talking to my dad last night, it's HOT and WINDY there, not the best conditions for getting a handle on a out of control wild fire!
Let's hope today is a better day.

What's for dinner

This week the grocery store had pork shoulder roast on sale, so yesterday I made BBQ Pulled Pork

I've never tried McCormick's Slow Cookers before, but after last nights dinner, I'm going to try more of them! Very tasty...

Not only were they huge in size, but huge in flavor too! Yummy

I didn't get accomplished as much as I had hoped yesterday, so back to work I go, hi ho hi ho

Neglected

Because my house and studio have been a little neglected lately,
plus I have officially ran out of counter space in one of them...

I'll be playing "WasherWoman" for a couple days.

But first, the sun is getting ready to come up so I'm off on my daily walk. After a couple days of rain (which we really needed) everything looks so pretty and smells so good...
