Remember the Snowmen Ornament Kits I had last year?

This year I will be offering ornaments, complete and ready to hang.

I even added a few Scary Cats to the mix (love their surprised look) hehe

I'm in the process of cleaning the studio.
And my bead bowl (with extra beads) is getting pretty full.
Some are extras, some are wonky and some are just ugly! Ha
So it's time to DESTASH the extras at a GREAT price!
Once I have them strung and photographed,
I'll be placing them on my site, on the "destash" page.

Happy 100th

Mini Me

 

I have been wanting one of these for a long time...

Eight weeks ago I bit the bullet and ordered one just the way I wanted it. As Kurt was looking over my list of "must haves" he says "don't you want a turbo?" which was not on my list. It just did not seem that important to me. But, he talked me into it. I'm SO GLAD HE DID...it's so F.U.N. zipping around town.

I'm going to drive it for a couple weeks before I hand it over to Kurt to customize it for me.

Plus, it's the perfect size for Molly!

Maybe I'll even learn how to do this, ha!

Here comes the Sun(flowers)

My Sunflowers are in full bloom. Such happy flowers don't you think?

I've had a few requests for my Dia de Muerto pieces that I shared a couple weeks ago...
So next week I'll try and have those photographed, so I can take a few orders.

Weekend plans? Trying to stay cool...
We may even break a new record high (from 1898) which I'm hoping we don't!

Molly's favorite cookies (dog treats) in the whole world are Peanut Butter Chewy Louie..

I'm not sure if it's the cookie part or the peanut butter, but she absolutely LOVES them!

So when I found these "ice cream" filled Louie's, I knew I had to get them for her.

We haven't broke into the bag yet, but maybe today...

Día de los Muertos

I've been in the studio working on inventory for a couple upcoming shows.

The theme for one of the shows (Halloween & Vine) is Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

This week I've been working on these fun colorful necklaces (I still need add a patina to the brass wings)

I also have been making new Fairy Gardens & Night Lights with a Halloween/Fall theme.

Fun Fun Fun

Next week I'll start working on Winter themed goodies...which is odd with the warm temps outside.

I'll crank up the AC and turn up the tunes.

Elderberry

Elderberries grow wild around my little town. We even have a world famous Inn here in Oakhurst named after the berries, Erna's Elderberry House.

I'm lucky enough to have a couple Elderberry brushes on our property. This weekend the berries were just right for the pickin'.

So I made jelly from this recipe.

a little getaway

A little weekend getaway...

After last weeks high temps, we headed to the beach for a couple days to cool off.

There is nothing like the cool salty air to refresh the soul.

We hit all my favorite places, including Heart's Ease, which has a charming garden.

Today it's back to reality...

Starting off with washing a load of sandy clothes and towels, then heading up to the studio...

in the middle of July

I switched to a new variety (new for me) of sweet pea seeds a couple years ago.

I'm so amazed I'm still getting sweet smelling bouquets in the middle of July.

Our summer temps here range from the mid 80's to high 90's (very low humidity, thank god)

So if you live where the summer heat is sky high, I highly recommend trying THESE.
