A room with a view

Last weekend we went down to Santa Barbara for a belated Father's Day.

My sister flew in from Austin with her son, Matthew. Although it was a short visit, we had a great time!

My dad likes to spend his free time making bird houses.

So I was really happy that he made me one of his newest designs!

It's designed to be placed on your window. It has suction cups and a plexiglass back.

I can't wait until some birdie makes it her new home! How fun will it be to watch the eggs hatch?!

Sugar Pine

Sunday we took a little drive up in the mountains.

Found some mossy branches and sugar pine pine cones.

The cones are huge, 10-20 inches long.

My car smells so good now too!

Peddler Fair {plus new goodies}

A couple weeks ago I went to our local Peddler Fair.

And I found a few fun things to bring home.

 

I found a vintage traincase with the initials BLS, a couple old Ball jars, vintage silverware, a vintage travel mirror, a nice old cigar box with a mirrored lid and a couple tiny vintage cups (which I'll make into Fairy Gardens)



Speaking of Fairy Gardens, I added a couple new ones to the SHOP.
Including some "beachy" gardens...

Autocross

This weekend we went to the Goodguys Autocross...

Kurt loves racing these events, he's getting ready to build another car just for doing the autocross.

But after going for a ride (the 2nd video, yes that's me laughing at the end) I told him the new car is going to be mine! I think he thinks I'm joking. Last night I had dreams of pink race cars...ha!
